The actress, who was a former cover model lives in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above left). Ann Turkel still struggles to endure her separation of Richard Harris, even though they only got married for 8 years. Turkel was born into a Jewish family, and was raised through her maternal grandmother in Manhattan. By the age of 16, she was in the midst of studying with Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton, both at the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann was brought to the attention of a Vogue Magazine fashion show by Gloria Schiff, an editor. Diana Vreeland ordered Ann to do her first Vogue photo shoot alongside Richard Avedon within one week. Ann later became one of the top models across the United States, appearing on the covers of some of the most popular magazines for fashion. These include Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann was the first model to make her debut internationally with Europe and Japan following her modeling stint on behalf of Max Factor Revlon.
